How We Do It
How To Properly Refinish a Bathtub Or Ceramic Tile Surface
1. We apply a proprietary bonding agent formulated specifically for
bathtubs and ceramic tile, then rinse it off and thoroughly air dry the surface.
2. Next step is to make the repairs necessary (chips filled in, cracks or holes repaired)
3. Next the area must be masked off and floors and other surfaces covered to prevent any
overspray.
4. Next step is to mix and apply primer specifially engineered for bathtub and tile resurfacing, two-three coats.
5. Finally, after a light sanding and tacking, the topcoat (or colorcoat) is applied, 2-3 coats.
6. After a few minutes, we remove the masking paper and drop cloths, and buff the surface.
Let the tub or tile cure overnight and it is ready for use the next
day!
7. Bathtubs that are fiberglass enclosure type tubs also have to be
thoroughly sanded as well.
8. There are a few more steps but now you have the basic idea of what
bathtub refinishing is.
